For Real?

A Collegue sent me this article… I find this graphic highly disturbing.

Nice interactive map about other troublesome spots in the bay:

  1. I’ve never even heard of this. That is a nice static info-graphic of the location and an interactive trouble area map. It is interesting that the sun sometimes turns the plastic to dust….that almost sounds biodegradable and I thought it wasn’t…

Meanwhile, on a related thought, I don’t understand why the new recycling bins are in an obscure section of the 3rd floor hallway at the CAC. I keep forgetting they’re there…..I think maybe at a main entrance would be better.

  2. On the same related thought, why is recycling such a pain anyway? This scary graphic has me practicing the ways of recycling again, but it’s just hard to save up paper, plastic, and glass in order to drive them to a certified recycling location (which I don’t even know where to take mine here in Morgantown)……

And yes, it’s great that the art office is probably recycling more, but what about the rest of the CAC? More bins and in prominent locations would be a must. It would be great to have one in the lab. I think I’ll bring in a box for recycling there so we can easily transport the wasted printer paper to the lab down the hall!
