This link is for Marcie, I just found it interesting considering our conversation about ads for gyms and fad diets and the impossible results shown. We all know I love to read Design Observer; it’s on the blogroll for a reason! Mr. Heller does not fail to provide a great read. I laugh though because he watched Boy Meets World because he was monitoring his son… and I remember watching the show when I was growing up. Despite the age difference, I relate to his opinion and the way the ad pulled at my heart strings (despite its ugliness). Everyone loved that Topanga!
Topanga, I Hardly Knew Ye by Steven Heller
Also, as discussed in class:
The West Virginia Campaign for anti-tobacco was/is Raze. Those are the individuals I was referring to meeting and finding out that they were infact… smokers.
Truth is a national campaign.

Wow, that’s really disappointing. Almost as much as when I heard Stephanie Tanner was on meth. All those years she promoted a normal healthy-looking teen are flushed down the toilet with this ugly ad.
